All the way to a State Record!

James River Swimming made several statements this past weekend in both individual and relay events.  The four girls pictured  (from bottom left clockwise – Caroline Sheble, Grace Sheble, Morgan Burton and Sydney Branch) swam to a second place in the 400FR Relay and a fourth place in the 200 Medley Relay, while each individual made finals

Varsity Swim vs Midlothian

Girls and Boys Varsity Swim split against MHS, with the girls taking the Lady Trojans 164-119 while the boys lost by 9. Quad winners included Morgan Burton, Caroline Sheble and Grace Sheble  and triple winners included Zack Hoffman and Xander Schreck. New regional cuts were made by Cassie Johnson in the 200IM and by Tess Williams

Swimming over the Holidays

While you were finishing your last minute holiday shopping, Varsity Swim competed at the Hanover Hawks Holiday Invitational.  A day of prelims and finals swimming was capped off by a rousing sing-a-long of Winter Wonderland by everyone in building.  For the second year running, the team captured the “Best Holiday Dressed” trophy.  Looking at the pictures,

Varsity Swimming beats Matoaca

CCPS DUAL MEET 2 – JRMD V MATO – RESULTS Girls and Boys Varsity Swimming readily won over Matoaca tonight at swimRVA.  Varsity Girls score was 201-77 and Boys score was 151-116.  Quad winners included Caroline Sheble and Grace Sheble.  Triple winners included Morgan Burton and Xander Schreck.  Best time in the 200IM by Jonathan Zimmer (2:04.89). 

Women’s Swim Team Win’s Regionals

Lady Rapids take 1st place at Regionals, 1st place in cheering and 1st place in supporting their team mates. Thank you to all the parents who took off from work and drove 2 hours to volunteer for this team.
