Coach “Merry” has been with James River Swimming since it’s inception. The 2018-19 season marks her 4th year as Head Coach. Merry grew up swimming competitively and has always had a passion for the sport.

• Graduated Virginia Tech with a BS in Family & Child Development w/a minor in Sociology.
• Level I ASCA Certified Swim Coach
• Certified Lifeguard
• Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor
• YMCA Learn-to-Swim Instructor
• 8th year as her neighborhood’s summer league’s head coach.
• Currently working on her level II USA certification along with her VHSL coaching certification.
