Rapids News · 2016-17 Wrestling- Primed for Success

The 2016-2017 Rapids are ready to make a run at the Conference 3 Championship and make some noise in the regional and state tournaments. Head Coach, James Riley, is excited about his team. While losing some experienced wrestlers in Traeven Tann and Justin Esposito, the Rapids found a lot of talented, young athletes to fill the void. Senior Josh Garber leads a group of experienced wrestlers: Tristan Walls, Izea Turner, Rudy Bojorquez, Ben Mellor, and Max Mellor. The Rapids put together a tough tournament schedule in preparation for the regional and state tournaments. The Rapids will be traveling to Virginia Beach for the King of Beast Tournament, and to Maryland for the Mad Mats Tournament.. Coach Riley believes that this team has the ability to do something great and continue to build a bright future.
