Corey Ambers Named Golf Coach at JRHS

Corey Ambers has been named the new Head Golf Coach at James River High School. Ambers succeeds Tim Llewellyn as he resigned in June to accept the Director of Student Activities position at Powhatan High School. Corey is a strong player, accomplished coach and a passionate promoter of the game of golf. He is committed to making golf a motivating experience for anyone involved. He prides himself in keeping up with the latest developments in golf equipment and continually looks for better ways to communicate and coach his students with use of digital video and computer technology.

Corey is a local guy with a various sports background and now serves as the Lead Coach at the Robins Junior Golf program in 2016 and 2017; He also is now the Director of Operations at the Robins Junior Academy . He has a Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration with a minor in Marketing from Radford University.
